Dr.K.S.Chandrasekar has more than 28 years of teaching, research and consulting experience in the field of Management studies including 13 years as Full Professor. One of the founding member of the Department of Management studies of Alagappa University and later joined IMK, University of Kerala in 2002. Since then he has occupied various positions including that of Acting Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Dean of Faculty of Management studies, Chairman-BOS in Business Management for Pass and PG, Campus Director, School of Business Management and Legal Studies Director and HoD of IMK.

Dr.K.S.Chandrasekar was nominated as the external member of the Academic council of Central University of Kerala for four years during which he was instrumental in launching the School of Business Studies. 64 Ph.D. scholars completed Ph.D. in Management under his guidance with 2 of them completing Post Doctoral Fellow. More than 500 Ph.D. theses evaluated till date across the country and conducted viva voce examinations. Contributed a book on History of Management Thought based on the research work. Published 56 articles in UGC CARE journals of which 25 in group I and rest in group II. 86 articles published in peer reviewed journals. 137 popular and well recognized articles in newspapers and journals. WAs involved in the core committee of IQAC for ensuring NAAC A++ reaccreditation for University of Kerala Won many awards and accolades for the contribution to Higher Education. Obtained Rs.157 Crores for research funding from various government and non government agencies. His wife Anitha MS is Assistant Registrar, University of Kerala and Son, Rohan Chandrasekhar is Cadet Pilot with Indigo Airlines. He lives at KRA A18, Subedar Buildings, Chettikulangara, Thiruvananthapuram.
